DK Bose has over 45 years of experience in Advertising, Social Marketing and Communication, Development Communication. He has worked with three of the leading Advertising Agency as Media Specialist and set up India’s first Social Communication outfit for Advertising Agency JWT along with Media Direction, the specialist media function for RKSwamy/BBD and was responsible for setting up for Ogilvy India’s , Rural division- Ogilvy Outreach. DK has been an exceptional communicator and using it in promoting health. He is also the founder trustee of Center for Advocacy and Research , a leading NGO working on Media and Gender issues. He has been Consultant to Government of India Projects, USAID Projects, World Bank & DFID Projects; recently had been a member in the Advisory Committee on Communication for the UID Project ‘Aadhaar” chaired by Mr Nandan Nilekani.
Dr Madhu Chandra, Member Advisor
Dr Madhu Chandra is MBBS, Diploma in Clinical Pathology, PhD in Public Health and a Certified Auditor, Laboratory Quality Management System. She has 24 years of experience as Pathologist in Corporate Hospitals and other health related entities. She held the position of Corporate Head – Department of Laboratory and Transfusion Medicine at Yashoda Group of Hospitals, Hyderabad during the period 2006 to 2010. She is quality management expert with NABL accreditation and is conducting NABH Assessments and Training programmes in India. Currently she is working as the CEO of Kamala Nehru Memorial Hospital and Regional Cancer Centre, Alahabad, UP.
Mithu Basu, Member Advisor
Mithu Basu, Communications Strategist, Art Enthusiast, Writer, Ideator and entrepreneur are the wealth of expertise accrued over three decades of corporate life. A Masters in English Literature, from Mumbai University, her last assignment spanned close to a decade with, The Leela Group of Palaces,Hotels & Resorts as General Manager Corporate Communications. She spearheaded Media relations, Marketing Communications, Publishing, Advertising and Graphic Design, as well as supported Heads of PR and MarComm for all The Leela properties. Currently as an entrepreneur and founder she promotes Indian art and artists through her enterprise Dolna the Movement. Importantly through her subsidiary Dolna Communications she also commits her network and expertise to social causes she believes in.
Dr Prakash Rao, Technical Advisor
Dr Prakash Rao who holds a Ph.D degree in Homogeneous Catalysis started his career as a CSIR research fellow & reasearch associate. During this period he was awarded the doctorate degree for his work on ” Catalytic epoxidation of Olefins “. He then worked as a senior scientific officer in one of the premier scientific laboratories of CSIR namely Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI), Bhavnagar for almost two decades. He is an expert in Membrane Science & Technology and his areas of interests & expertise include: Development of UF membranes for water purification & disinfection, Development of RO membranes for brackish water & seawater desalination, Characterization of UF & RO membranes, and Design and installation of Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants for water purification & desalination. Dr Rao has about 20 years of experience in the field of Reverse Osmosis thin film composite membrane technology. At EHP, Dr Rao is actively involved in conducting regular training programmes for the benefit of field coordinators, technicians, water promoters & plant operators in operation, monitoring & maintenance of RO units. He is also engaged in technical matters relating to optimization and standardization of design & control parameters for long term, consistent and smooth operation of RO plants and also for optimal use of RO water.
As part of the advisory role, his activities also include periodic monitoring & review of water points, interpretation of plant performance reports and authentication of water test reports before they are displayed at water points.
